Ingredients: • 1 chicken (broiler/ fryer) about 1.15 kg • 2 teaspoon salt • 1 large onion, peeled and finely chopped • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped • 3 tablespoon vegetable oil • 1 tablespoon coriander ( ketumbar ), ground • a pinch of chopped ginger • 1 teaspoon lemon grass (serai), ground • 500 ml (2 cups) coconut milk, squeezed from 1 grated coconut with sufficient water added • 1 Salam Leaf (daun salam) Preparations: • Cut chicken into serving portions and rub with salt. • Fry onion and garlic in vegetable oil until light brown. Then, add coriander, ginger and lemon grass. Stir well and fry for about 1 minute. • Add chicken, mixing thoroughly so that chicken absorbs the spices. • Add coconut milk and salam leaf. Cover tightly and cook over medium heat for about 40 minutes. Serve.
