Duri Durian ( Durian Thorns)

Ingredients:
• 200 grams butters
• 20 grams powdered sugar
• 2 egg yolks
• 1 tablespoon water
• 300 grams wheat flour
• 1 egg yolk, beaten, for brushing

Filling:
• 300 grams durian flesh
• 75 grams brown sugar
• 25 grams granulated sugar

Preparations:
• Filling: cook durian flesh and sugars in a pan on low heat, stirring until it becomes a thick dough which can be shaped. Cool.
• Mix butter and sugar evenly. Add egg yolks and water, stirring well, then add wheat flour, kneading until the dough can be shaped.
• Take 1 tablespoon of flour dough, flatten, add stuffing ingredients, cover and shape like a durian kernel.
• Put in a buttered baking tray, make cuts into the surface in some places, and brush with egg yolk. Bake at 160 deg. C for about 50 minutes until golden brown and done. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container.
